Who writes the content and who checks it?

Health writers draft each page from primary sources. A licensed dentist reviews it before publication and signs it with a review date. Content and referrals are kept separate: the reviewer has no say in which clinics receive callers, and clinics have no say in what the guides recommend. Sources we rely on

Guides are built from the American Dental Association's patient resources, the NIH National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Mayo Clinic patient guidance and state dental board publications. Each clinical page links to the sources used.

Medical review

A licensed dentist reviews every clinical guide, service description and cost table. The review covers symptoms, first-aid instructions, when to go to the emergency room, treatment descriptions and price ranges. Anything unsupported is removed. Reviewed pages show the reviewer's name and the date.

Cost information

Cost ranges are compiled from partner clinic fee schedules and grouped by city size. They are estimates, not quotes. The dentist you see quotes the exact fee before treatment.

Updates

Clinical pages are re-reviewed at least once a year and whenever guidance changes. City and ZIP code pages are regenerated from our coverage data as partner clinics join or leave.

Independence

Partner clinics pay a flat referral fee. That fee does not influence which clinic a caller is referred to, which is decided by distance and availability, and it does not influence the content of any guide. We do not publish testimonials or reviews unless they are verified, and we do not invent dentists, clinics or statistics.

Corrections

If you find an error, use the contact form. Corrections to clinical content are made after review by the reviewing dentist, and the page's review date is updated.
